submitting bugs for Project 2007

Where can we submit bugs ? The ms connect site does not have a place for
Project 2007 bugs.

Thanks for help.

I don't really know; but suspect there is a link on Microsoft's
corporate web site www.microsoft.com. Can always send a paper letter.

However, they are surely busy on Project 2010 and are likely not to pay
much attention to 2007 anymore. It's been around for a while and
development occurred a very long time ago.

That being said, what is it you have found? Perhaps folks here (who are
not Microsoft) know a work-around.

- Create a task (Task 1), and two resources (Res.1 and Res.2)
- Open Assign Resources DB and keep it open throughout the process
- Assign Res.1, then replace Res.1 with Res.2
- Undo the replacement (click undo button)
- Add Res.2, save and close the project file
- Reopen it, you will see two Res.2s assigned.

This is probably related to the Undo function. I tested it with the latest
hotfix update.
This is no problem with Project 2010. It seems like a small issue but it
becomes a big one if you are working on a project schedule with a tight
deadline. Please pass
this one to the team if you have contacts and let's hope a quick fix soon.

Hi TBol,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

It is unlikely that Microsoft will do anything on this old product now 2010 is shortly due to be released. If you wish, try this site: http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/project/default.aspx . Feedback and comments buttons are at the bottom left.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Mike thanks for directions.

When we try to increase duration of a fixed-duration task in Project 2007 &
Project 2010, it will display a warning message for sure and if we open the
"Show Help" box, the product name is still Project 2003 in the text. I
consider it as an
unintentional easter egg telling us that the most part of the code comes
from the previous versions. Anyways, I believe if a bug repeats itself in
Project 2010 we will have a chance to get it fixed. So let's always cross
check.

Thanks a lot.
