Subscibe to changes to website

I'm wondering if there's an easy way of having people
subscribe to my website and after I would like to send an
email to everybody that is subscribe when I make changes
to the site! It's a site where we keep hockey schedule for
our minor hockey association so it's pretty dynamic.

Any suggestion!

Thanks for your help!

Yes, though using a third-party. There used to be more services like this,
but because so many pages are now dynamically generated they aren't as
common. There's a pretty good resource at:
http://staff.philau.edu/bells/keepup/detectit.htm about detection though
most of the services are focused around an individual being notified of his
favorite pages changing as opposed to a web site notifying it's subscribed
viewers.

Hope this helps,

Michael,

Probably the simplest way to handle this would be to ask people to maintain
a list of people who monitor your page and just send them an e-mail when
it's updated. This wouldn't require any special coding on your part, just
add a one line form to the page asking for an e-mail address.

Depending on your mail server, you may even be able to manage this as a real
mailing list where people can self-manage their subscriptions. Otherwise,
you would just add them to the address book in your mail program manually.
