We import a text file into an access table, then we import an excel
file into another access table. we get the "subscript out of range" error
message. we close access and open it again, then the excel file imports
fine. any
ideas on a fix for this?

thanks
willy

We are using office 2007 proffesional. We go to the external data tab then
click on text file and use that wizard. Next we click on excel and use that
wizard.

Thanks for your help

Willy-

Did you do a detect and repair to Access 2007? Do you have the latest
updates applied?

patti : Thank you, I went ahead and did a detect and repair, I also
downloaded service pack 1 for office 2007. Unfortunately the problem of the
subscript out of range still exists.

patti

willy k-

are you sure the excel file matches the access table in range, format, etc?
I am still waiting for my client to download the update to see if that fixes
the issue. I'll let you know if i find a solution.
