Substituting Local Resource with Enterprise Resource

Hi,

There are few local resources in my project in EPM, which
i need to map it to Enterprise Resource. Basically, need
to substitute local resource with Enterprise Resource. Can
i do it without dropping the asignments of lcoal resource
(rather want to transfer the assignments).

Also, why is it Local resource with same name of
Enterprise Resource not allowed ? How can we workaround on
it ?

I think the right tool for your resource change would be the replace button
in the Team Assign Dialog box. As for the prohibition on identical names,
you're out of luck. That's true of any authenticated system; user logon
names can't be duplicated.

Thanks. I am able to replace the resource.

If i understand right, Local Resources information are not
stored along the Enterprise Resource. If so, why does
Project Server do not allow to have Local Resource in the
same name as Enterprise Resource ?

All resources are also users. Local resources have accounts on the system as
well as Enterprise resources. They're all contained in one database.
