SUBTOTAL(9,range) Does NOT work in AutoFilter

I have used this function before and had no problem.
I do not understand why it is not working for me now.
I have approx. 1600 rows of data and I have three columns with the subtotal
function entered in the row under the last row of data.

When I filter on a specific the data value in one column that I want to get
a subtotal for, the row wihere the subtotal function is entered does not
display.

Can someone help with this problem please.

Put the subtotal formula in the top row and see if that works

Thank you Peo. Yes that does work, but I really wanted to have all the
subtotals at the bottom. But if there is no other choice, this will have to
do.

Thank you.

If you have totals in the row below the subtotals, the subtotals row
will be hidden when you apply the AutoFilter.

Maybe you could leave a blank row between the table and the subtotals.
Then, remove the AutoFilter, and reapply it.

Debra; thank you ever so much.
Yes, I did have other totals below the subtotal row.
Your suggestion to add an empty row below the subtotal row was brilliant and
solved my problem.

Thank you, Dane...
