I need to subtotal a range of cells, with the subtotal pasted on a different
worksheet. Here is a subsample of the worksheet.
HU001 HU002 HU003
mayflies 2 1 0
stoneflies 1 6 14
caddisflies 0 40 12
worms 0 3 20
leeches 5 0 2
I need to subtotal mayflies, stoneflies and caddisflies (and name the range
EPT) for each monitoring site (HU001, etc), but on a different worksheet. I
need to use this subtotal on subsequent worksheets, but I cannot add a
subtotal anywhere on the first worksheet, as it is for raw data only. The
subtotal for EPT will be used in several formula to calculate other values.
Can anyone help me write a formula that I can copy and paste special so I
can use it on other worksheets? (same workbook). Also, is there a way to
reference this subtotal cell so I can write formulas using this subtotal?
The goal is to have the entire workbook update all the calculations if I
change the value in the raw data.....
