If Cell C8 Contains The Value 8:30 (8hours And 30minutes) And Cell D1
Contains The Value Of 0:52 (52minutes) When Trying =sum(c8-d12) And I
Tells It Invalid. I'm Working In Windows 2000 Professiona

On my sheet
=C8-D12 is the same as =sum(C8-D12)
the result for both is 0.318056
multiplied by 24 would give you the difference in hours 7.63333
My cells c8 and d12 are automattically formatted as time <custom h:mm>
you may need to check the format of your cells.
