Hi,
If you open both workbooks at once, you can activate the
cell in the workbook that you want to subtract from,
minimize that workbook, maximize the other workbook, and
link to the cell that you want to subtract. You can
perform any number of calculations by linking the
workbooks.
If you access Excel's online help, type in "link formula"
then go to "create a formula to calculate data on another
worksheet or workbook".
