generally I'll just publish "conventionally". for instance I'll go into the
server control panel and create the sub domain such as something.example.com
but for all FrontPage knows (and in fact the actual folder location on the
server) I'll publish it to the FrontPage subweb at example.com/something
it's important to keep your sub domain folders as FrontPage subwebs so all
your links will be ok as relative links etc.

A subweb if a feature/function of the FP extensions and has nothing to do with subdomains, which is
a feature/function of a DNS server.

The easiest way to work with subdomains under a FP extensions based web is:

1. Create a subweb/subsite and access it from FP as http://www.yourdomain.com/subwebname

2. The web host would then point subdomain.yourdomain.com to subwebname folder within your web.

3. Visitors to your site would always use http://subdomain.yourdomain.com to access. You may run
into problem if you use FP Form or guest book, discussion web when it is access via the subdomain
pointer.

Can anyone please help me? I have my own website, www.designsontheweb.com and
I am building another website (www.blindsandcurtains.co.uk) using FrontPage
2003. I don't want to publish an unfinished website to it's own website
address, rather I would like to publish it to:

http://www.designsontheweb.com/blindsandcurtains

so that the client can approve the design/changes etc.... however I am
having problems getting the website up there. I have imported the website
folder into my own website folder and converted it to a web, now what should
I do?

Many thanks for any help you can give me.

You should just be able to publish from your local to
http://www.designsontheweb.com/blindsandcurtains/

But some hosts don't allow publishing directly to subwebs unless they exist in which case open your root web
http://www.designsontheweb.com/
and create the folder blindsandcurtains then right click it to convert to web
