subwebs

Hello,

I am building a website using frontpage 2003. At the moment the site
just has a dedicated ip address to it, so that I can design the site
before I move my dns to a new host.

In the building of my site I am using subwebs, which I need to password
protect. The main site is open to the world, but the subwebs all need
to be access restricted.

I have all three subwebs designed and completed, so when I went to
Tools, Server, permissions and tried to add users all I am getting is,
I can not add a user my quota of users on this virtual server is at its
limit. I have no way of adding users. Is this because I do not have my
site populated in the web? Or am I doing something wrong?

Thank you
Sue Fisher

it's a server setting.
you'd need to contact your host.
the only problem will be that when you move your site it's likely you'll
have to restructure your permission for the new space.

you might want to look at some other form of password protection. a nice
script for .asp pages is:
http://spookylogin.com/
but you can find more on places like www.hotscripts.com
