SUDDENLY I CANT input numbers in excel 2003 only letters

using excel 2003 for years... this morning cant input any numbers in any
cells...only letters whats gone wrong?

Is your numlock on? (it should be)

Can you describe what happens when you press the numbers on the number
pad as well as the numbers above the letters?

thanks ...i feel stupid... never thought of the numlock... never useit so
must have touched it by mistake... the numbers in the main keyboard did work
but not the side numbers... thanks again for vsolving this problem for me
