Hello

I need to write chemical equations such as H2O for water
How do I create the small text either to the above right
or below right of a word/letter

Probably the reason you won't get Help to tell you about this is that
you got the wrong name. The letters that go below the baseline are
"subscripts" and the ones that go above it are called "superscripts".

The keyboard shortcut for a subscript is the Ctrl key plus the = key.
The shortcut for a superscript is the Ctrl key plus the Shift key plus
the = key (or you can think of it as Ctrl plus the + key).

If you forget the shortcuts, these are also checkbox items in the
Format > Font dialog.

Alternatively, you can use the Equation Editor (Insert > Object >
Microsoft Equation).

Hi Lisa,
You can use subscript and superscript to do this.
