Suggestion for O2007

Many times I create documents (word, powerpoint, excel, visio, ...) for which I
want to place in them the date/time of the last update. Unfortunatly when I
insert a date and/or time those fields are updated when I or the recipient opens
the file.

It would be a nice insert feature for date/time to be able to have a file last
changed date/time field insert.

Thanks in advance.

You can add a date that doesn't change but you'll still have to depend on
the next person to change the date. I've stopped depending on others to do
something to make my work easier.

....

Dunno about the other Office applications, but in Excel you could us a
BeforeSave event handler macro to update a date/time stamp stored in a
cell or a name.

Hi Lionel,

MS Word has a 'SaveDate' field.

Prior to Word 2007 - Insert=>Field

In Word 2007
Insert=>Quickparts=>Field

Cool - thanks - this looks like what I'm looking for when I just need a date of
last change. Much appreciated.

Any ideas if/when this will migrate to the other office apps?
