J Jerry W. Lewis Nov 11, 2006 #2 Do other formulas work elsewhere on the page? If so, likely the cell was pre-formatted to contain text. If everywhere formulas display instead of results, then look in Tools|Options; likely Excel has been set to display formulas. Jerry
