SUMIF using Background Colour

Hi,

Is it possible to do a SUMIF statement that only adds
values from a cell that has it's background colour as
yellow??

I.e.

=SUMIF(A1:A20,colour="yellow")

You need to write a custom function in VBA to do this. It can't
be done with normal worksheet functions. See "Sum By Color" at
www.cpearson.com/excel/colors.htm for details and example code.
