My answer is not including the first row in the database range that matches
this criteria. It seems this is regardless of how I sort it.

you may post the name definition for your three defined names (or post
the exact formula)

I'm doing a sumif formula and my answer does not sum the first row in the
database range that matches this criteria. I can change the sort of the
database but the answer still does not include the very first record that is
referenced in my criteria. Why not?

My exact formula is listed below in my first post,
=SUMIF(msdatabase,Container,CurrTotalQTY) . The result does not include the
first record that meets the criteria "Container", it does total the qty
(currtotalqty) of the ZCSU2333593 container without the first record. In
this example, the record not included is in row 2, however, if I sort it
differently and this container falls in the middle or the end of the
database, it still skips the first record in the database that has
ZCSU2333593 as it's container name. Below is a sample of records in the
database with the header row.

are missing. I suspect that they're incorrect

I'm not sure what you are asking for. I have checked "use labels in my
formulas" in the tools/options/calculations. I also named the Qty column
"currtotalqty" ='manifest summary database '!$G$2:$G$42 and the database
range is named "msdatabase" ='manifest summary database '!$A$1:$I$42.

One name begins with row 2 and the other with row 1. Both ranges have
to start with the same row
