Summary Task

Hi All,

We have a user that would like to track resource actuals at the summary task
level, but also maintain the spread of hours at the detail level. What this
means is they only want the summary tasks to show on the users screen in MY
TASKS to track time. I am not aware of any way to accommodate this request
as this is not how the system was designed. All tasks appear in the users
view. Please let me know is there any way we can achieve this.........

There is no way to make this happen within the default functionality of
Project Server 2007. Sorry.

Santosh:

The requirement is unrealistic so you need to push back on the user by
asking for the logic that they would use to parcel the high level
information down to the detail level. If they can come up with a realistic
algorithm, you can code the solution. It's not going to happen.
