summary task

hello,

I am trying to add task that in duration is summary of few others,
for example:
Task 1 Preparation works 10 days
Task 2 demolishing 10 days
Task 3 terminal building 10 days
Task x ...

Task 20 Supervising in duration it should be the sum of all task form
to X,

can you help me how to do that?

Probably the duration of particular task will change and i do not wan
to change Task 20 Supervising duration manually, i want that it will d
automatically,

Hi,

Copy the start date of Task 1, and Paste Special (Paste Link option) t
the start date of the Summary Task 20.

Copy the Finish date of the last task, and Paste Special (Paste Lin
option) to the finish date of the summary task.

The summary task type should be fixed units (e.g. 100% or 50% etc o
the supervisors time).

The start and end dates of the summary task will now chang
automatically, as they are linked to the other tasks.

You should see a little grey triangle in the corner of the summar
task's date fileds which shows that they are linked.

Hi reza,

From irekk's question it sounded to me that he wanted his Task 20
"Supervising" duration to span the entire duration from task 1
through task x and adjust if the duration of the series of tasks
expanded or contracted.
