summary tasks not rolled up

Hi, I have subtasks . If I change the dates of the tasks it is not
reflected in the summary tasks.
Also I haved checked the option automatic calculation.
One more pb with the same project is that I have set the start date of
the project to current date but new tasks takes some other dates .dont
know why

Namaste, Piyusha! It is usually inadvisable to hard-code start and/or finish
dates at the task level in MSP. It is best to choose a project start date
and then, by establishing task interdependencies (predecessor/successor
relationships) and estimating planned work hours, allow MSP to calculate the
dates for you.

Whenever you specify a start/finish date at the task level, MSP by default
applies constraints that strangle the flexibility of, and your ability to
control, your schedule.

Also, if what's not rolling up are Duration values, remember that Duration
is not an additive measure (such as Work or Cost). Good luck, my friend.
