Summay Tasks showing when they shouldn't

Sorry this one won't go away...my colleagues are happy that the Summary = NO
criteria will mask out the errant summary tasks being displayed but why are
they being displayed? If I reschedule the entire project to start in 2008
and then run my elapsed tasks filter it still displays the summary tasks
which all start in 2008 - this seems impossible? I need to know why MS
Project is doing this, I can't keep using the phrase - don't worry "MS
Project is strange and does its own thing" for behaviour that can't be
explained.

Thanks in advance

Steve,
Did you add the criteria to eliminate summary lines to your filter as I
described in my earlier post? If you did and the summary lines are still
showing then the filter is not structured properly. If you could share
your elapsed tasks filter with us, we could help you figure it out.
