svchost at 100%

I am running WinXP Pro SP1 and just upgraded Office XP to
Office 2003. Now the svchost process runs continously at
95-100% making tha machine unusable. Checked for viruses
and adware, reinstalled office, but nothing. Any ideas?

Solution:
Booted XP CD -> Repaired -> Reinstall Office -> reinstall updates
So far so good.
