Hi McZeb,

Can you provide a bit more detail on your overall process for setting up an Office 2007 Network installation point, including the
Office 2007 Multi Language pack and then the deployment (including the method, command line and steps)?

What version of Windows are you installing on and at what point did you encounter the error and did that stop the installation or
???

==============
Hi,
I'm trying to deploy Swedish Proofing Tools, from the Swedish Office Multi
Language Pack 2007, to an English Office 2007 installation. I've found an
instruction at Microsoft Technet, but when I follow it I get an 1713 Windows
Installer error....

I've used the Office Customization Tool (OCT) to deploy the English Office
2007.

Thanks Bob,
I've prepaired the English (US) Office 2007 deployment using the Office
Customization Tool (OCT), by running setup with the /admin switch. And I now
have my Windows Installer .MSP file, and that's fine!

Now I want to add Swedish spelling to the English Office 2007, and I've got
something called "Swedish Office Multi Language Pack 2007". In that pack
there is a directory called "PROOFING.SV-SE" that seems to contain Proofing
Tools for German, English, Finnish and Swedish. And now I'm trying to follow
the instruction I found at Microsoft Technet, but I fail...

Hi McZeb,

Please provide the other information requested in the previous message. 'I fail' isn't much to go on. Did you add the
MultiLanguage Pack to the Office 2007 Network Install Point?

How are you calling the additional languages?

When does it fail, etc?

OK Bob,
When I try to follow the Microsoft TechNet instruction below, and run one of
the MSI files below, I get the following Windows Installer error in Swedish...

Error 1713. Cannot install one of its required product for Microsoft Office
Proofing (Swedish) 2007.

\PROOFING.SV-SE\PROOFING.MSI
\PROOFING.SV-SE\PROOF.SV\PROOF.MSI

I'm installing on English Windows XP SP2 with Swedish locale, and I get this
error when I try to add Swedish Proofing Tools on a computer where English
(US) Office 2007 already is installed.

Hi McZeb,

As I mentioned previously, your statements are fairly general. Step by step, what is the process including command lines you're
using and the locations of the files, network installation point, etc.
Office 2007 deployment is normally done by running the Setup program and calling/including multiple MSI files, so it's not clear
what is the total process you're using to deploy Office 2007 with supplemental proofing tools.

Well Bob, here's the hole procedure:

1. Copied the hole English Office Professional Plus 2007 CD to a network
installation point called 'OfficePro+2k7'
2. Ran the setup.exe from there with the /admin switch, to start the Office
Customization Tool (OCT).
3. Did my customizations and saved it to my Windows Installer Patch file
(.MSP)
4. Saved the MSP in the 'Updates' folder in my network installation point,
as the "Deployment for the 2007 Office release" described.
5. On a XP SP2 client, ran the setup.exe from the network installation
point, and Office Professional Plus 2007 installed fine.
6. Tried to install Swedish Proofing Tools 2007, by running the MSI files
below from the "Swedish Office Multi Language Pack 2007" CD, to get Swedish
spelling in e.g. MS Word, as described in "Deploy Proofing Tools for the 2007
Office system" at TechNet.
\PROOFING.SV-SE\PROOFING.MSI
\PROOFING.SV-SE\PROOF.SV\PROOF.MSI
7. Got a Windows Installer error, Error 1713. Cannot install one of its
required product for Microsoft Office Proofing (Swedish) 2007, in Swedish.
8. Posted this thred in "Discussions in Office Setup" for help.

I used the Microsoft Office Language Pack 2007 - Swedish, ran the
installation, did custom setup and disabled everything except proofing
tools for Swedish.

After finishing the installation, when you go into word options this is
what happens (see attached file). How the hell did Swedish get mixed
into the GUI?

Why the hell is this happening and how do you install/add the spelling
and grammar check for Swedish on English Office 2007 as I could not
find the answer anywhere and Microsoft charge for supporting a very
'user friendly' application? Nothing complicated, one PC and two pieces
of software that are supposed to be compatible.

Thanks.

If I understand your problem, all u want is to be able to type in English or
Swedish in Office applications.
To do that go to start > all progs > MS Office >Office tools > MS Office
2007 Language settings
Enable Swedish.

lepicane

Thanks Srikanth,

Are you saying that the Swedish spelling check and dictionary are
already included in US Office 2007 and that there is no need to add
anything from the Microsoft Office Language Pack 2007 - Swedish?

Thanks and Happy New Year everyone.

Did you find a real solution to the problem?

Is there way to install a Swedish dictionary in an English Office 2007
WITHOUT changing the user interface to Swedish?

Seems incredible that this should be so hard. And yes, I have Swedish
enabled in

"start > all progs > MS Office >Office tools > MS Office 2007 Language
settings"

It says it's enabled, but it finds no errors when typing (of course),
since no Swedish dictionary is actually installed.
English spell-checking works just fine though (also, of course).

I also have the Swedish MUI for Office 2007, and I failed in the exact
same way McZeb did.

Did you find a solution?

Thanks alot!

Hi lepicane,

The (limited support) ID in the language setting tool for Office is often that the matching language support files for Windows are
not installed. Check the Regional settings for Language support in the Windows Control panel.

@jagomai

Try this

http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX112984

The spelling check now works, however, the language settings tool still
shows 'limited support' for swedish. >>
