Switchboard/Form - Error - No Object for this Control

My database is acting strange. I first noticed it last week when there was
errors about the MSflexgrid control. When I tried to open a form that has
the MSflexgrid on it an error popped up stating that there was no object for
this control. I opened the form in design view to check the flexgrid and got
the same error. I think that maybe Microsoft might have done a software or
security upgrade that is causing this problem(?) When I went to close the
database it wouldn’t close. It had to close it through Task Manager.

Not only is the flexgrid not working but all the code that was added along
the way is not working. Also, the switchboard buttons show but have no
descriptions.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this would be happening, or a fix? Any
suggestions would be much appreciated!!
