Can anyone tell me how to create a switchboard in Access so that when the
database is opened the form opens automatically instead of the usual page
which has the table names etc....

Hi,
you can run a switchboard manager (menu tools-database utilities-switchboard
manager) to create a new switchboard forma and then set in tools-startup
dialog as startup form
