switching between languages: text does, but numbers remain as defa

why i cannot type the numbers or insert "the page numbers" in the language i
have switched to? even if i change the original setting, it's the same thing.
i can write the texts in the language i have switched to, but the numbers
remain in the original default language which is english.
thank you for your assistance.

You can change the way your computer treats numbers in the Regional &
Language Options control panel. It works a little differently in XP
and Vista, but you should find the options in the first panel that
shows up when you go there.
