Switching from Windows to Mac

Hi,

Recently, I switched from a Windows machine to an iMac with Intel processor.
I have a copy of Microsoft
Office 2003 professional. Now, I am looking into the possibility to migrate
the software to Mac OS X. Is it
possible for me to obtain a copy of Office for Mac from Microsoft sales
department. If so, how can I get
into touch with them?

Thanks.

If you want to use the 2003 Office on the iMac you will need to install
the VM software and the aquire a copy of Windows to install first. If
you want to buy a copy of Office 2004 for Mac, just pick your favorite
software store. Please be aware that you must buy the software, you
can't "trade in" or "exchange" software.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick posting. I think that the Windows version of
Microsoft Office is much nicer. But, I am reluctant to install VM virtual
machine on my iMac since I am afraid that it might cause lots of
software problems. If I buy Office for Mac, does it count as an
upgrade?

Installing VM software is not the only way. Apple offers a free loader
software that allows you to choose run either iMac OS or Windows OS at the
time of boot. Both operating system are independent except for sharing drive
space. You do need to purchase Windows. There are also third party
software that supports switching between operating systems without
rebooting.
