I use an off-line folder on my laptop to store everything and author e-mails etc... basic travelling stuff. I need to be able to sychronize this calendar with the one on the company exchange server automatically when I attach. Right now I have to copy/paste every entry and it's pathetic. This seems to be a basic function of any groupware package and I'm sure Outlook with facilitate this, especially in concert with Exchange. However, even my IT department cannot get it to work.
I've configured the folder for off-line sychronization. When I sychronize there is even a task (that completes) that says the calendar is being synched up but non entries ever pass between the two. As a side note I have the same problem with taks, notes, contacts etc. Am I an idiot or what? The worst part is that I'm a DBAOS guy so it's very embarassing to ask these "user questions." Help me save face!
