{ symbol 147 } and { symbol 148 } What is the symbol number for straight apostrophes please?

Hi,
I use mailmerge to generate html code. I use an IF Statement in
mailmerge code (alt + F9) to insert hypertext links for relevant
records. I had some problems a while ago with apostrophes but I was
told that I could use { symbol 147 } and { symbol 148 } to specify
them in the html code within the mail merge code to avoid conflict. {
symbol 147 } and { symbol 148 } seem to be for the curly (smart)
apostrophes. Does anyone know what the symbol number is for straight
apostrophes please?

Thank you for your help,
Leo

I posted a reply to your earlier message as follows:-

I'm not sure what is going wrong here (or exactly what you are doing), but
have you checked that the Word options for
a. Autocorrect
b. Autocorrect as you type

are the same in both copies of Word?
