Sync between Entourage and Exchange Server

I have been "dealing" with the Sync issue between Entourage and our Exchange Server and was wondering if anyone has a fix or a workaround.

Fairly simple issue. Our company uses Exchange Server and most folks use a PC and Outlook. A few of us use a MAC w/the current version of MS Office / Entourage for MAC. The issue is that that us Entourage users (iMAC's at the office and Macbooks on the road) send emails from Entourage through our Exchange Server, add Appt's or Contacts, they do not post to the respective folders in Entourage (or our Blackberry's.)In effect we have to BCC ourselves on a sent email to ensure it shows up on our inbox on our other MAC. (it also does not post to OWA Sent folder.)

Is this fixed? Is their a workaround?

Fixed?? I didn't know it was broken.
I use an Exchange account with Entourage and my Sent messages sync
without any problem with the Excahgne server (and I can see them there
in OWA).

What type of server do you have?? 2003 or 2007?? It could be either a
configuration issue (but I don't see what you could change in the
settings) or a server issue.

I checked with our Exchange Service provider. They are running Exchange Server 2003. Sent items do not post to the respective folders in OWA or the "other MAC".

Thx,

I checked with our Exchange Service provider. They are running
Exchange Server 2003. Sent items do not post to the respective
folders in OWA or the "other MAC".

You're using "folders" (plural) but Sent Items will be stored in just
one folder called "Sent Items" under the user's Exchange account in
Entourage.

Are you expecting messages to be saved in other places or are you saying
messages are not getting saved to the "Sent Items" folder?

William,

I'm only focusing on the one folder "Sent Items."
Given the "two Macs" - 1 Blackberry and an Exchange Server host (OWA) the expected auto sync between Entourage and Outlook specifically sent items, just doesn't work, i.e. posting sent items between all devices. Any clues/hints would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Lou

Hi Lou!

Sorry for not responding earlier. I've been at sunny Macworld!

Specifically, where are items not syncing? In Entourage? In Outlook? On
the Blackberry?

Have you tried clearing the cache for your Sent Items folder?

If you see this in just one or a handful of folders then right-click or
Control-click that folder, select Folder Properties and click the Empty
button to empty the cache. You can also select the account itself and
empty the cache for all of your folders.

Because this is happening with your Sent Items then be sure to create
copies of sent messages that you don't want to lose. Clearing the cache
will delete messages from Entourage and replace those with messages from
the server.
