sync problem between Entourage and Exchange

Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

I had an Entourage db problem that directed me to rebuild the db. I did this and everything seemed ok. Then when it began syncing, it copied everything in the Entourage db back to the Exchange db (duplicating my emails). I then set about the process of deleting the duplicates (using MS Webmail) and that went ok (took a while). Everything looked good...Entourage was performing the sync ok. I quit Entourage and when I restarted it later in the day, it sync'd my other email account (POP) and my .Mac account (IMAPI) and the Exchange public accounts BUT on my main Exchange account there seemed to be no activity. So, I first checked my Blackberry and noticed that there were a few new emails. Then I logged into my Exchange account via Webmail and noticed that the same new emails that appeared on my Blackberry were there BUT ALL OTHER EMAILS WERE GONE! (they still reside in Entourage on my MPB.

It appears that the sync log is out of whack. Any suggestions.

Also, I just noted that on Entourage, "new" email appear as if they are being brought in as "folders" named by the subject with a .EML extension (i.e., Pension plan-3.EML) BUT the folders are empty - the email is not to be found. So, when Entourage sync's with Exchange, it appears to bring in the new mail - but as an empty folder, with no message content.

Last contact I had with the folks at MacBU I was told they've heard of
this issue but don't have a solution. At this point they suspect
Database corruption.

I do have a contact at Microsoft who would be interested in examining an
identity with this problem if you're willing to share it. Of course,
you'd need to make sure any sensitive information has been removed first.

If you're interested in having me put the two of you in touch then
