Sync protected actuals changes schedule

Hiya
Your help would be much appreciated for this strange
problem. When we alter the schedule in MS Project and
save, it sync's protected actuals in plan but changes the
schedule back to what it was previously. Why does the
sync protected actuals alter the schedule? I would have
thought that it would just look at actual work?

Any ideas?

Hi Sally,

I do not have a good answer, but found some info.
In the project administrator guide on page 119, you will find "Move from Project Server 2003" - Caution
As I understand it, you use "managed time periods" and should switch to non-managed.
I find this dangerous, as it is a server-based option.

Who can give us a better answer.
