It¹s not clear what is causing the crash. Check to be sure iTunes is updated
to 9..1.1 (12). If it¹s showing (11) then

Go to this page and download itunes:

I cannot figure out how to do the following...

# Use Activity Monitor to quit Sync Services

1. type sync in the search box to locate sync services

# Delete the contents of ~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices/

1. You can also kill Sync Services via the Terminal and delete contents. The first line quits the SyncServer, the second line deletes the SyncService database content to reset it.

killall SyncServer
      rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/SyncServices/*

When I go to finder and type "sync" in the search box I dont see the option referenced in the documentation.....what am i doing wrong???

# Use Activity Monitor to quit Sync Services

1. type sync in the search box to locate sync services

Open the application Activity Monitor in Applications/Utilities. Type sync
in the search box to locate Sync Services. Click on the red icon to quit.
# Delete the contents of ~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices/

Open the Library folder in your Users folder. Select Application support and
delete the Sync Services folder.
1. You can also kill Sync Services via the Terminal and delete contents.
The first line quits the SyncServer, the second line deletes the SyncService
database content to reset it.

killall SyncServer
rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/SyncServices/*

This is an alternative way to delete for users that are comfortable with
Sync Services.
When I go to finder and type "sync" in the search box I dont see the option
referenced in the documentation.....what am i doing wrong???

There is nothing in the directions that indicate searching in the Finder.
