sync with Exchange Server fails

D

Dan O'Donnell

One of my internal users reports some problems with Entourage v.X (Mac
OS X 10.3.4, PowerBook Al-17):
I just got back from a long trip. On one of the plane flights I did some
offline work on Entourage, moving messages into files, deleting
messages, composing messages, and so on. Usually, all those offline
actions are then synchronized once I get online next. But, although the
box showing that comes up, the synchronization never seems to happen.
Instead, the entire inbox "refreshes" over and over again.

Error message is: <username>: synchronizing offline actions
0 of 410

Any ideas on how to rectify this problem?
Will a simple database rebuild have any effect?

Second, is this related to a problem on the same system where Entourage
now refuses to download mail and returns the following message:

Error
Mail could not be received at this time.
Explanation
The server returned the following error
Unrecognized internal error: 0xfffff9bf

Error 1025

I'm pretty sure this is not a server error, as the user is able to
access and retrieve email from the server using Eudora (in IMAP).

Thanks for any help.

Tnis looks like corruption in your mailboxes on the server side. Windows
machines (and Exchange admins) have different tools than we have to take
a look at that. Can you ask your network administrators to check your
account on the server for corruption ???
We had that here on a few machines and everything went back to normal
once they fixed the problem on the server.
