People,
After fixing windows update by typing "proxycfg -d" (windows update doesnt
work well with a proxy) which clears my proxy settings it seems to have
broken the connection between WSS and PROJECT SERVER which I run on the same
box. I didnt know they used a proxy to communicate i.e. synchronize.
Fustratingly I have found several posts describing the problem and saying at
the end its been fixed without providing the solution. My problem is that I
didnt write down or even look at my proxy settings before I cleared them.
Right now my proxy settings are as follows;
C:\>proxycfg
Microsoft (R) WinHTTP Default Proxy Configuration Tool
Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
Current WinHTTP proxy settings under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\
SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Connections\
WinHttpSettings :
Proxy Server(s) : proxyserver
Bypass List : <LOCAL>;server;192.168.1.101;*.microsoft.com
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it as I am running out of hair to
pull out.
