synch problem

I have used SynchToy to synch a database from a vista laptop to an XP pc, it
produces an error message that access is denied and will not update new data
between the two. have also tried network sharing and emaling etc. and am now
stuck. Any ideas please?

SynchToy is a free download from microsoft that synchronizes files and folders

Ahh ... I see the download page now. This would merely move files/folders between machines, it wouldn't actually
synchronize two Access databases and update data in either one ... so (I'd presume) SyncToy would merely overwrite one
file with another. Of course, I could be wrong as I've never used it.

Generally, if you want to synchronize two Access database you either (a) use the builtin Access/Jet replication or (b)
build your own sync routines. Of the two, (a) is the easier choice but leaves you with fewer options; (b) would only lbe
recommended for advanced developers.

Please could you let me know how to replicate, or suggest where to look to
find out about it? Thanks
