synch PWA users/resources with existing resources on an MPP?

I have a project plan already in existence that i want to "retro-fit", so to
speak, with resources that exist on my PWA server. My project already has
resources assigned to all the tasks--they may or may not currently match up
with existing users. Running some smaller tests, I attempted to globally
replace the offline resources with their match (or a best match), but
couldn't get it to work. I tried making the offline resources generic
users, no dice. I found some help files that hinted the "Build Team From
Enterprise" option (under the Tools menu) might be a lead, but the option is
greyed out and I can't get it to enable no matter what I change. So right
now I'm stuck going back and manually replacing my offline resources with my
online resources before I can load/synch the Project into PWA.

I would really prefer to avoid having to manually change the resources on
each task. Is there an easy way to do this that I'm overlooking?

Thanks in advance.

The Build Team from Enterprise menu item is grayed out because you are not
logged into Project Server through Microsoft Project Professional. Refer to
the following link for the steps needed to create a Project Server login
account:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/CreatePMLoginAccount.htm

After you complete these steps, the proper way to handle your resource
situation is to import the existing .mpp project file into the Project
Server database using the Import Project wizard. To use this, complete the
following steps:

1. Launch Microsoft Project Professional and log into Project Server
2. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Import Project to Enterprise
3. On the page that deals with resources, match each resource in the .mpp
file with a resource found in the Enterprise Resource Pool

Take your time on step #3 above and do not rush, as this step will take care
of your "retro-fit" situation with resources. Hope this helps.
