Perhaps, what happens when you try. Outlook is purely passive in the
exchange, it's all up to the software that came with/for the PDA

I haven't tried. I'm worried about erasing the (my) default calendar. It
would seem the synchronization should generate a request for a new calendar
to be set up in outlook?

Not at all. Synching usually works only with the default calendar, so if
you are able to synch two PDAs, you'll wind up with exactly the same
calendar in Outlook and both PDAs. You will not be able to have separate
PDA calendars merged one-way into Outlook. Synching is two-way so both PDAs
will wind up with copies of the Outlook calendar.
