Synching Meeting Reminders Outlook 2007

We have a user who has his Outlook email synched on his Samsung i760 phone.
He wants the calendar reminders to pop up on his phone, but not on his
computer.

He said this was working properly in Outlook 2003, but not in Outlook 2007,
and we can't find a figure to configure this properly.

Is it a local setting, or an Exchange setting? In other words, if he
modifies a setting in his Outlook on his computer, such as turning off the
alarm for a meeting, will it effect the settings on his phone?

Any synching of data between the phone and Outlook is strictly under the
control of the sync software in use. Settings that may be transmitted
between the phone and Outlook are controlled by the sync software.
