Many thanks to all those who answered my posting some time ago about
synchonising Outlook with Outlook.com.
I have now discovered this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2459660
It seems it is now possible to set up the outlook.com calendar as a
calendar within Outlook. It then looks as though this can be saved
(exported) in iCalendar format.
As this information may be of assistance to others, I have posted the
