Synchronize with PWA after migration does not work

Hi,

We're currently migrating our project server (2003 SP2a) installation into a
new domain.

It is integrated with Sharepoint (WSS 2.0 SP2) so we used the WSSMigr tool
to move Sharepoint sites created by Project Server to the new domain.

Since we're also transferring users from one domain to another we had to use
stsadm migrateuser command line.

Everything seems to be working correctly EXCEPT for 2 things:

1) "Synchronize with Project Server" function in Sharepoint Docs, Risks,
Issues seems to point to the old server still.

When we click on it, it seems to redirect us to the old server because a
password prompt appears to log on to the old server. I just cancel it and the
error I get is
"Failed to Synchronize Users..."

The same with PWA Admin -- Manage Sharepoint --- Synchronize users --- I get
the same error.

2) Do we need to recreate the sites one by one?

Even after using the WSSMigr.exe command line and running the PWA
installation - sharepoint wizard, the sites in the Manage Sharepoint Sites do
not appear ---- bUT if I click on a project and click CREATE SITE, it just
restores the site that was previously created.

I checked the STS database and the FullURL field of the Sites table still
has the old domain in it.

Any idea how we can fix this?

Thank you so much.

Hello everyone,

Just sharing with you how we resolved this issue:

1) WSSAdmin account used by PSCOM+ must be members of the Local
Adminsitrator groups in the Project Server and Database server machines.

2) Found this article in Microsoft via googling error code.
