I have a user with two machines that use Outlook and they're both set up with
IMAP accounts. The Personal Folders basically have the same folder
structure. The problem is that the user will sometimes move mail from the
IMAP/mail server to Personal Folders on one machine as well as the other.
The problem this creates is that these messages are obviously not on both
machines. The user would like his email on one machine. I'd like to know if
I can "sync" the email by taking the .pst from one machine and importing it
to the others while selecting the option to NOT import duplicates.
For example, let's say that both machines have the following in their
Personal Folders:
Mike
Steve
John
Dave
Machine #1 has 25 emails in the "Dave" folder whereas Machine #2 has 30
emails in the "Dave" folder. Can I "sync" these by simply importing the .pst
from one machine to the other and selecting the option to not import
duplicates? Please advise. Thank you.
NOTE: Please ignore the fact that the user has an IMAP account. The
important thing to remember is that each machine has different email stored
on its hard drive and I need to get all that mail on one machine.
