syncronize active directory project server windows authentication

What is sycronized between Project Server 2003 and Active Directory when you
are using windows authentication?

Any users in Active Directory directory groups you select for AD
synchronization will be automatically added to the Enterprise Resource Pool
and user accounts in PWA will automatically be created for them. Anyone
already in the Enterprise Resource Pool and PWA who does not exist in the AD
groups will be removed from the pool and PWA. Hope this helps.
