System Administrator Error PLUS

After a Norton virus scan it stated it needed to reboot to rid the system. I
rebooted, upon it booting back up, the system had changed my background and
locked me out of any of the administrator options, plus taken away my control
panel. It does not exist on this side of the equation. I have tried
everything. I booted up in safe mode and went through my user accounts. It
stated I had an Administrator, my account and my son's. Mine was
administrator (separate from Administrator) and my son's was limited. I
deleted his to limit confusion. This was the only place it stated I have me
and an administrator (it did not appear on the welcome screen until after I
entered and exited safe mode). Also because of other problems with Norton I
deleted that from the administrator side to eliminate possible complications
from that as well. Honestly, I am at the end of my rope. Can anyone tell me
what happened and if I can fix it?

Can anyone tell me
what happened and if I can fix it?

Possibly, but probably not here. This newsgroup is for the database software
Microsoft Access - not for general computer questions. The webpage can be
confusing and may have misled you.

Scroll down the list of subject areas and find your version of Windows (yes,
there are different versions and the answer may depend on which version you
have installed; please be specific).

You may need to get your Windows CD and do a repair install... or you may have
a virus and need professional assistance. Good luck.
