It sounds like you have a document that was protected using IRM. The
document creator can specify copying content is not allowed. You'll
need to ask the person that created the document to provide you the
permission to copy the content.
If you don't know who created the document then go to View/Taskpane
and display the Shared Workspace task pane to find this information.
