System freezes after sleep when running Entourage X

If I run Entourage X on my system (OS X 10.2.6 w/ the most current
Office update) and I let it fall asleep, when I wake up the system
it's completely frozen (can't even see the cursor) and must be
restarted by holding the power button down. Sometimes the screen will
even go gray and the " You need to restart your system" message
appears. The panic log shows a kernel panic and gives the following
message:

com.apple.iokit.IOUSBUserClient(1.9)@0x14660000
dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily(1.9)@0x1cbe4000

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated - it's getting pretty
tiring having to restart all the time.

Ironically, no. Nothing's ever plugged into the back except the power cord.
