Systematic crash of Word when linked to lan printer as default

Hello,

I have Word 2003 on a portable pc. The printer (HP5150) set as default
printer is on a WIFI lan. The lan connection is active.
When I open any document, Word crashes, proposes to recover the document,
after recovery crashes again, and so on.

This does not happen if I configure a 'local' printer as default printer on
the portable pc.

Thanks for any idea to solve this problem.

Make sure the printer driver for the HP5150 is installed on the
portable PC's hard drive. See item 2(c) in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm for more
information.
