tab controls disappear in form view but appear if there is a filte

My form has 5 tab pages. They appear ok in design view and used to show
correctly in form view. I must have changed a property so now they don't
show in form view - only the first page appears. However, if I apply a
filter,then they show up correctly. Any ideas?
