tab key hijacked

I can't get the tab key to move the cursor when Word is
open. Instead is just switches back and forth between
Word and other open applications. How do I get the tab
key to do what its supposed to in Word?

Hi, Karl,

Your PC is acting as though the Alt key is also down (Alt+Tab is the
shortcut for switching between applications). Whether there's
something physically stuck in your keyboard or something electrically
or logically wrong in your PC can be hard to pin down.

First, go into Control Panel > Accessibility Options and make sure
"Sticky Keys" is turned off. That could be making the PC "think" the
Alt key is down.

Try swapping keyboards. If the problem goes away, invest a little in a
new keyboard -- they're so cheap that they aren't worth repairing.
