Tab key moves me way too far over!!

Hello...
I'm growing more frustrated by the minute!!
All of the sudden when I'm on a worksheet, in column A,
when I hit TAB, I get moved all the way over to column I
instead of the very next column (B). I have closed out
excel (2002) and I have even rebooted... it is still
happening. With all spreadsheets...
