Tab Order of Cells in Template not Logical

Excel 2002

When I tab through the unlocked cells in a template I do not get the
expected results. It tabs through the first 6 fields as would be
expected but then it reaches two cells in the middle of the form that
it just continually tabs back and forth between. If I Enter through
the fields I get completely different results (that doesn't work
either).

Most of the cells are merged but some of those work and some don't. I
have tried unmerging, I have tried making all of the cells the same
category (General).

I saw a few postings that talked about the named range solution. That
works until I protect the sheet and then it doesn't work anymore.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

With the "named range" solution ... simply unlock the selected cells before
or after you assign a name to the range.

*Then* protect the sheet.
